Abstract:

This research was conducted in Batusangkar, West Sumatera using a factorial research in the form of randomized block design (RBD). The species of Taro that used as the experimental material was Taro type in the age of 4 months. The purpose of this research is (1) to know the interaction between leaves pruning and difference of harvest times to the growth and production of Taro, (2) to know the best leaves pruning for growth and production of Taro (3) to know the best harvest times in order to get the best Taro production. The treatments of leave pruning in this study consisted of; without pruning, pruning by leaving 4 leaves, and pruning by leaving 6 leaves. On the other hand, the harvest times treatment is on 6 months, 7 months, and 8 months. The results showed that the interaction between leave pruning and harvesting times had an effect on taros’ tuber diameter. On the form of tuber wet weight and length, there were no a significant effect due to the treatment provided, yet the pruning by leaving 6 leaves effected to increase the number of tubers and the productivity of Taro. While the best harvest times to increase productivity of Taro is at the age of 7 and 8 months.

Abstract:

Also called as the Golden Horn, this region is located in the European side of İstanbul, at the entrance of the Bosporus, the extension of the sea that seperates the peninsula from Beyoğlu and the surrounding built area is called Haliç. In the historical continuum, in every period Haliç Region which hosts different congregations and undertakes different roles and missions, is the coast of Fatih, Eyüp, Beyoğlu and Kağıthane. In the 20th century, the industrial structures in the Haliç Region that now depics an inner harbor were seen to negatively affect the ecosystem of the region consecutively decentralisation process initiates. After this process, our heritage industrial heritage, which has a great prospect in terms of historical past, was abandoned and left to decay.However, since the end of the 20th century, the search of private sector for sites in the Golden Horn region, which is near the city center, has started the process of transforming old industrial areas into cultural areas. Thus, many industrial heritages in the idle state have been transformed into cultural structures and have had important effects on the development of the region. The aim of this study is to show that the provision of up-to-date functions to unused industrial heritage structures is an important application for the community development of the region. In this content, as a method, theoretical and empirical research was carried out.Magazine articles, books, technical reports and conference notices with important field indexes related to the subject were carefully examined and many on-site observations were made.

Abstract:

Residential area location modeling is an important one of the great difficulties of contemporary social science. In the study, a research is done on cross inquiries & correlation analysis about the residential area location models. A research is done aboutdemographic data, the validity of their available environmental context, the data specifying their choice, the data from the status of property and the data of the socio-economic state of the person.The aim of this study is to make research on cross inquiries and correlation analysis about residential area location models.The topic is searched using SPSS computer program. Using this program; frequencies, crosstabs and correlations are formed.To interrogate socio economic and demographic data; the relationship between father's age/family cycle, income/family conversion, occupation/property, number of households/income, number of households/ownership, father age/mobility, father's age/ownership, occupation/ownership, occupation/income, income/education are examined. Also, to interrogatereview preferences on ownership and current situation; the relationship between mobility/apartment area adequacy, neighborhood relations/mobility, homeownership/mobility, income/mobilityare examined. The analyses of the relationships are reviewed in conclusion.

Abstract:

Project activities in private and public health sectors are on the increase and this calls for better project management to ensure successful completion of projects that the organizations are engaged in. This study sought to establish how project management implementation practices have led to the provision of reproductive health services in Hospitals in Nairobi County; that is Nairobi Women’s Gender Based Violence Recovery Centre and Family health options Kenya.This study will benefit policy makers, practitioners, and scholars in the area of project management implementation. Research and publication on the contribution of project management implementation to health provision will highlight the value of project management implementation office and encourage managers to adopt project management implementation practices. The respondents were purposively selected from the levels of Executive Directors, Project Managers and Program Officers who are the main custodians of information of their organizations. Primary and secondary data was collected for the study. The researcher used a questionnaire to collect primary data from the population and secondary data was collected from the Government reports and other related studies. The study had a target population of 26 project staff. A pilot on the instrument was conducted at ROMACY reproductive health organization to determine instrument reliability. The questionnaire consisted of closed ended questions. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and some level of inferential statistics which helped interpret the correlation of the independent variable to the dependent variable. Data was presented using tables and figures. From multiple regressions, it was inferred that the use of information technology was significant in explaining the provision of health services at a 1% significance level, followed by monitoring and evaluation, donor partnership practices, and lastly stakeholder participation. The study concluded that monitoring and evaluation has greatly contributed to organizational learning and result orientation. Information technology has substantively contributed to knowledge management. Abstract:

Throughout history, people have tried to make the world more relevant to life. He tried to control the nature and use technology to achieve this goal. Technological developments that started with the industrial revolution have made it easier for people to control their environment and create new lifestyles. The main aim of all technological recovery struggles is to maximize people's level of life. The increase in the use of fossil fuels and uncontrolled industrialization has resulted in large increases in atmospheric and terrestrial waste, pollution and greenhouse gas values; Damage to the ecological system was excellent. Facing the fact that damage to nature is rapidly advancing rapidly towards non-reversible hazards has been instrumental in spreading the ecological understanding of the environment and conservation of natural resources;
The concepts of "Green Design", "Ecological Design" and "Sustainable Design" have started to be applied respectively. The concept of sustainability, which has recently come to prominence, has found its meaning in the design concept called sustainable architecture. The buildings in sustainable design are environment friendly and have energy conservation by producing the resources they need. However, looking at the environment from an ecological point of view is as important as the comfort conditions required for users by the materials used. Preferable features in sustainable design approach with environmentally sensitive materials. Sustainable design principles that are thought to be more important in the selection of materials as the concept of this concept is understood. During the life of the material, the materials must be least harmful to the environment and the natural resources and the amount of waste should be minimized or recovered after the wastes have been processed. In this declaration, the developments in building materials and their suitability as sustainable architectural principles will be assessed.
