Abstract:

The COVID 19 outbreak represents a historically unprecedented pandemic, particularly dangerous and potentially lethal for elderly population. The biological differences in the immune systems between men and women exist which may impact our ability to fight an infection including SARS-2-CoV-2. Men tended to develop more symptomatic and serious disease than women, according to the clinical classification of severity. Age-related changes in the immune system are also different between sexes and there is a marked association between morbidity/mortality and advanced age in COVID-19. This is a single-center, retrospective, data oriented study performed at the private hospital, in Central Province, Sri Lanka. The data of the patients who performed the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) to know whether they have infected by SARS-CoV-2 or not, were taken for analysis. Test performed date, age, sex, number of positive and negative cases, number of male and female patients were extracted. Finally the data were analyzed in simple statistical method according to the objective of the study. Totally 642 patients performed RAT within the period of one month from 11.08.2021 to 11.09.2021. Among them 426 (66.35%) are male and 216 (33.64%) are female. 20.4% (n=131) of male obtained positive result among the total male population (n=426). Likewise 11.4% (n=73) of female obtained positive result among the total male population (n=216).  Large number of positive cases was observed (34.89%) between the age group of 31-40 years in both sexes. The age group of 21-30 and 41-50 years also were shared the almost same percentage (17.13% & 17.75). The large number of positive male patients observed among the age group of 41-50 years. Almost same number of patients was observed in the age group of 21-30 and 31-40. The least number of positive cases (0.7% and 0.9%) observed almost in 0-10 and 81-90 years. When considering the females, large number of positive female patients observed among the age group of 31-40 years.

Abstract:

The prevailing economic and social conditions have adversely impacted on the delivery of health care services in the country. One of the core values is provision of adequate resources which aims at enhancing effective implementation of the Hospital’s service delivery strategies. However, Kenyatta National Hospital is still facing challenges in its endeavour to provide quality health care due unconducive work environment, shortage of some specialized skills and inadequate succession planning which had led to inefficiency, poor service quality or customer dissatisfaction in the hospital. Therefore, this study sought to determine the effect of physical resources on service delivery in Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi City County. This study adopted a descriptive research design. The unit of analysis was Kenyatta National Hospital and the unit of observation was 911 hospital staff members who were drawn from 10 departments. Stratified sampling method was used to group the respondents into 10 departments. The respondents were selected using simple random sampling method. The study sample size was 278 respondents. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire. Data was analysed using descriptive statistics using mean and standard deviations. The study established that physical resources had a positive and significant influence on service delivery. The study concluded that the hospital had adequate and quality physical resources that enhance their operations process. The study recommended that the hospital should enforce and improve policies to procure appropriate and high-quality physical services from reputable suppliers at all times.

The term Sanskara, also known as "Sanskaro Hi Gunantaradhynum Ucchate," refers to qualitative improvement carried out by adding certain attributes. Sanskaras are sometimes referred to as cultural ceremonies. Sanskaras are significant events in an individual's life, from conception to death. The traditional Sanskaras are 16 in number and were proposed by Maharshi Dayananda. Karnavedhana is an important Sansakara of medical and sociocultural significance. Aside from the cosmetic value (Karnaabhushana). Karnavedhana was thought to protect the body from harmful health conditions such as Grhas. Piercing the ear may aid in activating the immune system, resulting in secondary immunity against a variety of infections. The ear lobule is made up of robust areolar and adipose tissues that are generally smooth but display creases. It has a substantial blood supply and may aid in keeping the ears warm and in maintaining balance. The ear lobule has a variety of nerve terminals. Karnavehana is an acupuncture technique. Acupuncture is a comprehensive medical treatment that focuses on healing energy imbalances in the body. Acupuncture has traditionally been used to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease, as well as to promote overall health. Different body piercing styles, each type of body piercing was done with a unique goal and to reap certain health benefits. These cultural events also help children grow and develop. These occurrences are also scientifically valid and have medicinal significance. Abstract:

Ethiopia is the birthplace and diversification hub for several cultivated crops and wild relatives. Farmers use, protect, and manage these different genetic resources to satisfy their livelihood requirements using indigenous knowledge. Due to the changing nature of agricultural production, Ethiopia's anchote genetic diversity, notably that of landraces, is today facing major genetic degradation and irreversible losses. Currently, indigenous crop genetic resources and farmers' traditional knowledge are critically threatened and vulnerable to rapid genetic erosion. Natural disasters, population pressure, change in farming system, market preferences, agricultural modernizations, urbanization, cost of stake, biotic factors, and changing cropping patterns as a result of climate change and environmental degradation are the main factors that have greatly influenced the magnitude of crop genetic diversity in the country. If this tendency continues, the crop genetic resource gene pool may be depleted in the near future. As a result, assessing Ethiopian genetic resources, estimating the pace of loss, and identifying main variables that cause genetic erosion are critical for conservation and long-term utilization of Anchote.

Abstract:

Electric vehicle are vehicles that are either partially or fully powered on electric power. Electric vehicles have low running costs as they have fewer moving parts for maintaining and also very environmentally friendly as they use little or no fossil fuels (petrol or diesel). The objectives of paper to determine consumers perception and expectation towards electric cars in India cities. The research was carried with survey approach and 422 samples of data collected in the month of Jan-Mar, 2022 with Non-Probability Sampling Method. Further by statistical tools, Smart PLS and SPSS it is found that the people have perception of set of drawbacks challenges in quality and also impact of advertisement, which talks about benefits of EV.
The Drawbacks are time to charge battery, a smaller number of models, unavailability of charging station and distance travel for one full charge. The Quality towards battery backup charging duration, speed & pickup of vehicle. While the Benefits spoken are environment friendly less maintenance and easy driving.
